NDRC Approves Two Clean Development Mechanism Projects      

On November 9th, the National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC) announced that it has recently approved the 450 t/d recycling alkali project of Shangdong Huatai Paper Co., Ltd. (SHPC) as the clean development mechanism project. Swiss Carbon Alliance is SHPC's foreign partner on this project, which aimed at reducing 44 392 tons of carbon dioxide emission every year. In addition, another cooperation project between SHPC and Swiss Carbon Alliance - waste heat-generating electricity project, which will reduce 77 578 tons of carbon emission every year, was also approved as the clean development mechanism project.
