Honeywell Extends Cooperation in Energy Efficient and Environmental Protection

Honeywell has been invited to be an international advisor to the Municipal Government of Wuhan as it builds on its aggressive industrialization and urbanization program. Shane Tedjarati, President and CEO of Honeywell China and India, participated at the 6th meeting of the Wuhan Mayor's International Advisory Council (WMIAC) on November 18th - 20th, a high-level platform from which Honeywell can offer counsel and extend opportunities of cooperation to assist Wuhan and the Hubei province.
The province, located in Central China, has built up a comprehensive industrial portfolio that includes automobile, iron and steel, machinery and electronics, power generation, textiles and foodstuffs.
At the WMIAC meeting, Honeywell presented ways in which to drive energy saving for energy-intensive industries such as energy optimizations and retrofitting initiatives, and how to accelerate the development of "green" and less energy-intensive industries. Honeywell's advanced energy efficiency solutions can also be extended to buildings and homes.
