MOC Announces 2010 Customs Quota    

On October 28th, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced chemical fertilizers imports quota of normal tariffs in 2010. MOC will allocate the custom quotas to applied importers, which include 3.3 million tons of urea, 6.9 million tons of diammonium phosphate and 3.45 million tons of compound fertilizers, same as the amount in 2009. The importers who are awarded quotas can import related fertilizers by paying common tariffs, with imported amount not exceeding their awarded quotas. The imported urea, diammonium phosphate and compound fertilizers, without MOC's quota license, will be levied by higher tariffs.
   MOC also announced that the fuel oil imports quota for non state-owned traders is 14.09 million tons in 2010 and crude oil imports quota is 25.3 million tons.
   On October 30th, MOC announced exports quota for 12 kinds of minerals and chemicals in 2010. The quota for tungsten is 14 300 tons, tin 21 000 tons, antimony 57 500 tons, phosphorus ore 1.5 million tons, silicon carbide 216 000 tons, fluorspar 550 000 tons, magnesia 1.33 million tons, bauxite 930 000 tons etc.
