CNPC's Changjiang Project Launched   

On October 22nd, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) held a ceremony for launching the Changjiang project at Yangzhong, Jiangsu province.
   The Changjiang project will involve oil products storage and logistics center, chemical products logistics distribution center and chemical raw materials production base, based on the Yangzhong's superior port conditions and Changzhou's developed material production base. Furthermore, the planned construction includes oil and chemical products storage, logistics center, large fuel ethanol plant, chemical raw materials production facility and 1 000-kilometer long oil products pipelines.
   Construction of the refined oil storage and logistics center and chemicals logistics center is expected to be started in 2010, with a total investment of about RMB20 billion.
