300 000 T/A Calcium Carbide Project Launched in Gansu   

On September 27th, 2009 Zhangye Xintai Investment Co., Ltd. (Zhangye Xintai) laid a foundation for its 300 000 t/a calcium carbide project at Minle Calcium Carbide Recycling Economy Industrial Park, Zhangye of Gansu province.
   Zhangye Xintai was established in June 2009 with a great blueprint to develop an industrial chain including power generation by straw biomass and products manufacturing such as PVC, cement, caustic soda and urea, in Minle Calcium Carbide Recycling Economy Industrial Park within three to five years. The whole park has an initial investment of RMB2.12 billion and the first phase 300 000 t/a calcium carbide project has RMB470 million.
