Shanghai Petrochemical Starts up Large Aromatic Project      

On September 15th, 2009 Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Petrochemical) commenced the production of its 600 000 t/a aromatic project.
  With a total investment of RMB2.97 billion, the project use advanced process technology to secure clean production, and construction on the project was started on February 18th, 2008.
  Shanghai Petrochemical, located in Jinshanwei of Jinshan District, Shanghai, is one of the largest refining-chemical integrated petrochemical companies in China, focusing on the production of oil products, basic organic raw materials, synthetic resins and synthetic fibers.
