Henkel Takes Top 10 in China's Green Companies Ranking      

China's Business Watch has released the list of China's Top 50 Green Companies for 2009, with Henkel receiving the accolade of being in the Top 10.
    "In difficult economic times, it is more important than ever to recognize sustainable development for the opportunities that it brings. We see enormous potential for innovations that combine performance and quality with responsibility toward people and the environment. It is our objective to position Henkel as a leading sustainability partner for our industrial customers, the retail trade and consumers alike," says Kasper Rorsted, Chairman of the Henkel Management Board.
   Henkel's sustainability commitment covers the entire value chain, from R&D, raw materials, production, logistics, application and disposal. The company has grouped its sustainability challenges in five overarching focal areas: Energy and Climate, Water and Wastewater, Materials and Waste, Safety and Health, and Social Progress.
   Business Watch in association with several business institutions, assessed and released the names of the top 50 Green companies that have demonstrated excellent performance in leading the trend in green manufacturing, green energy and green service during 2009.
