Jidong Chlor-Alkali Launches Project in New Site     

Recently, Tangshan Jidong Chlor-Alkali Co., Ltd (Jidong Chlor-Alkali) laid a foundation for the construction of its relocation project in the new site Yutian county, Tangshan of Hebei province. The RMB1.08 billion project covers an area of around 27 hectare and will be implemented in two phases. After the completion, the project will annually produce 55 000 tons of ion-membrane caustic soda, 45 000 t/a PVC resins 15 000 tons of liquid chlorine, 20 000 tons of trichlorosilane, 20 000 tons of high purity hydrochloric acid, 210 thousand bottles of oxygen, 120 thousand bottles of dissolved acetylene and 1 000 tons of chloroacetic acid.
    Jidong Chlor-Alkali will construct the second phase project at the right time, with an initial investment of RMB600 million, to add a capacity of 30 000 t/a of trichlorosilane and 1000 t/a of polysilicon.
    These projects will annually bring sales revenue of RMB 1.5 billion for the company when they are full operational.
    Jidong Chlor-Alkali was established in Kaiping district of Tangshan in 1969. At present, the company can annually produce 25 000 tons of ion-membrane caustic soda, 40 000 tons of polyvinyl chlorine resin, 20 000 tons of liquid chlorine, 20 000 tons of high purity hydrochloric acid and so on. It was required to relocate because its existing production site is close to urban area.
