10 Year Anniversary of Tate & Lyle's Sucralose in Asia

Tate & Lyle announced on August 25th that this July marked the ten year anniversary since the company introduced its breakthrough sweetener - SPLENDA Sucralose - to the Asian market.
The Sucralose is a no-calorie, high-intensity sweetener that is made from sugar, tastes like sugar but it's not sugar. It is highly stable and therefore can retain its sweetness through a variety of high-temperature processing techniques and over long periods on the shelf. In 2008, Sucralose accounted for 32% of new products using high intensity sweeteners in the Asia Pacific region. Tate & Lyle believes its regional offices and labs in Melbourne, Mumbai and Shanghai will continue to help Asian customers to use the Sucralose efficiently and effectively.
