China to Ban Production and Use of TCA     

The Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (MEP) recently promulgated a prohibition notice to ban the production and use of 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane (TCA).
   According to the notice, no enterprise is allowed to produce or use TCA from January 1st, 2010, excepting when TCA is for necessary usage or used as raw materials. Those in the mentioned exceptional cases must be approved by the MEP before practices, or they will be punished by the relative responsible administrative apartments.
