Sulfur Recovery Rate Exceeds 99%     

Recently, Jiangsu Shengyi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu Shengyi) independently developed a technique of recovering sulfur by exhaust gas recycling process and also proprietary equipment. In practical application, the sulfur recovery rate by using this technology exceeds 99%, breaking the record of 98%.
   Jiangsu Shengyi says that the "direct oxidation" sulfur recovery process is the only dry process in China for treating large gas flow with low-concentration of hydrogen sulfide, and has found wide applications in many coal chemical enterprises. For example, Jiangsu Shengyi has equipped this sulfur recovery system for Anhui Linquan Industry Chemical Co., Ltd.'s 150 000 t/a synthetic ammonia feedstock route renovation project. The process is different from the mainstream Claus sulfur recovery technology and is an important technological innovation in the sulfur recovery industry, the company said.
  With this advanced technology, Jiangsu Shengyi has won international project bids repeatedly these days, including a sulfur recovery project for methanol production from coal, in northwestern China and the exclusive rights to provide complete sets of sulfur recovery equipment for the 600 000 t/a coal to methanol project of Inner Mongolia Sanwei Coal Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., a company holding by the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas).
