Kailin Invests Billions of RMB in Waste Treatment     

In recent years, China's most important yellow phosphorus manufacturer, Guizhou Kailin (Group) Co., Ltd. has invested billions of RMB to improve the working environment, and its comprehensive utilization of waste water, waste gas and waste residue has achieved remarkable results.
    In waste residue utilization, Kailin raised the mining recovery rate from 70% to 85% by adopting the new domestic "filling process". Once promoted widely, the process can utilize over 2 million tons of phosphogypsum and 700 000 tons of slag every year, reducing about 1 500 acres of land occupation by stored phosphogypsum and slag; the group also built an assembly line which can produce 60 million blocks of slag-bricks and 100 million blocks of phosphogypsum-bricks per year by comprehensively utilizing 150 000 tons of slag as well as 250 000 tons of phosphogypsum (dry basis) and yellow phosphorus slag annually. In waste water treatment, the comprehensive utilization rate of industrial water reaches over 95%. In waste gas processing, the company invested RMB15 million in Kaiyang Mineral Fertilizer Base to clean sulfur dioxide tail gas contained in sulfur-burning sulfuric acid unit and boilers, bringing sulfur dioxide concentration in tail gas far below the state discharge standard; RMB3 million was invested to recover fluorine-containing gas generated in wet-process phosphoric acid production; another RMB10 million was invested to collect dust and ammonia-containing gas produced from MAP (monoammonium phosphate) and DAP (diammonium phosphate) equipment, and then recover ammonia and ammonium phosphate therein.
    At present, the company has realized systematic circulation and symbiosis of production materials, and also built a modern pilot cyclic economic industrial park.
