Xingfa to Build Phosphoric Acid Facility       

Hubei Xingfa Chemicals Group Co., Ltd. (Xingfa, SH: 600141) announced on June 22nd to build a new phosphoric acid facility to meet the growing demand for phosphoric acid in electronic and foodstuff industries.
   The proposed facility will be operated by Hubei Xingfa Electronic Material Co., Ltd., which is a 75: 25 joint venture between Xingfa and Sino Star Holding Limited.
   Hubei Xingfa Electronic Material will invest approximately RMB156 million in the planned phosphoric acid facility, which is designed to produce 10 000 tons of electronic grade phosphoric acid and 20 000 tons of food grade phosphoric acid per year.
   Xingfa says the international electronic production transformation to Mainland China has brought and will advance the growing demand for electronic grade phosphoric acid in China. And the rapid development of foodstuff industry will drive the demand increase for food grade phosphoric acid and phosphates. The company intends to grasp the good opportunities to expand its businesses and strengthen its profit-making ability.
   Xingfa, located in Xingshan county, Yichang city, Hubei province, specializes in phosphates and fine chemicals, with a capacity of 250 000 t/a sodium tripolyphosphate, 100 000 t/a yellow phosphorus, 66 000 t/a sodium hexametaphosphate etc.
