Sinopec Corp. Formed Auto R & D Center to Serve Auto Industry     

Sinopec Corp. formed an auto research and development center in Beijing on June 16th to expand its businesses from the sole petrochemicals supplier to technology innovations and services for auto industry.  
   Manufacture of automobile needs some petrochemical materials, including engineering plastics, cable wrap materials, lubricant oil, polymer compounds, rubber products. These petrochemicals are widely used in automobile industry, and the research and development as well production for petrochemicals undoubtedly plays an important role in promoting the automobile industry's development.
   The establishment of the R & D center for auto will combine the petrochemical industry with the automobile industry in China to advance China's auto manufacture level.
