Luoyang Mining Constructs 50 000 T/A Nano-Calcium Carbonate Project     

Construction on a 50 000 t/a nanometer calcium carbonate project is going on well in Yiyang, Luoyang of Henan province.
   After full operation, the project will make full use of local abundant resources of high-calcium limestone to manufacture 50 000 tons of nanometer calcium carbonate, 600 000 tons of active calcium oxide, 30 000 tons of liquid carbon dioxide and 100 000 tons of magnesium oxide every year with an estimated sales revenue of RMB180 million for the company.
   This RMB220 million project, constructed by Zhejiang Yuhuan Zhongzhi Copper Co., Ltd., Luoyang Mining Group and Luoyang Construction & Investment Company on May 7th, covers an area of more than 24 000 square meters and the 50 000 t/a nanometer calcium carbonate project is due for completion in late 2009.
