China Increases Export Rebates   

The Ministry of Finance announced to increase the rebates for some exported goods on June 3rd. The involved chemicals include methanol, some pesticides and plastic articles, totally dozens of codes.      
   This is the seventh adjustment regarding to export rebates since August 2008, aiming at keeping the current market share unchanged. Foodstuff items and light industrial articles accounted for the majority in this adjustment list.  
   Some officials of the Ministry of Commerce even suggested to further increase the export rebate to a full rate - 17%, which means the Ministry of Finance will return all value added tax back to the exporters. But the comments from the Ministry of Finance were opposite to the suggestion of full rebate, because it would be difficult to afford from governmental budget.
