NDRC Passed Petrochemical Projects in May     

The National Development and Reform Commission approved some petrochemical projects this May. They are as follows:
   * The 600 000 t/a salt project, proposed by Zhenjiang Salt Chemical Co., Ltd., under China National Salt Industry Corporation.
   The proposed plant is designed to make 500 000 t/a wet salt, 100 000 t/a fine salt and 27 000 t/a anhydrous sodium sulfate, with an estimated investment of RMB291.6 million.
   * The 600 000 t/a p-xylene plant, applied by Sinopec Hainan Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. The plant is expected to cost RMB2.95 billion.
