Hubei Launches a Phosphorus Project     

According to the Hubei provincial Economic Commission, at the end of April 2009, Yaozhihe Co., Ltd. held a foundation stone laying ceremony for its 10 000 t/a yellow phosphorus project at Yaozhihe Industrial Park in Baokang county, Xiangfan, Hubei province. The project is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2009.
    The company has mapped out 14.9 hectares of land in Yaozhihe Industrial Park for the development of its phosphorus chemicals business. In the next three to five years, it will invest RMB1 billion to gradually set up a 50 000 t/a yellow phosphorus project, a 100 000 t/a kiln process phosphoric acid project, a 200 000 t/a food grade DCP (dibasic calcium phosphate) project and a 100 000 t/a defluorinated DCP project, as well as to form an industrial chain with a capacity of producing 4 000 tons of electronic-grade phosphoric acid, 120 000 tons of sodium tripolyphosphate, 10 000 tons of food-grade sodium tripolyphosphate and 10 000 tons of food-grade sodium hexametaphosphate every year.
