MIIT Proposes a Program for Highly Toxic Pesticide Alternatives   

To expand domestic demand and stimulate economy, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China has proposed 19 key technological renovation programs in raw materials industries. (CCR 2009 No12 page 6)
    The highly toxic pesticides alternative program is one of these special programs. It aims to completely wipe out highly toxic pesticides while develop high potency, low-cost, low-toxicity, low-persistent and environmentally friendly pesticides and promote the integration and economic scale of the pesticide active ingredients production. Alternative products for highly toxic pesticides include: thiediazole copper, enestroburin, SYP-1620, xiaochongthion, ZJ0712, ethyl 2-cyano-3-amino-3-phenylacrylate, natural herbicide synergist GY-Hmax, paraquat synergist GY - P, silicone pesticide synergist, and water-based and solidified environmentally-friendly pesticides, etc. At present China prohibits the production and use of 23 pesticides. 19 pesticides are not allowed to use in plants.
