Luye Agrochemicals: Green Agrochemicals     

Jiangsu Luye Agrochemicals Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Yancheng Lvye Chemical Co., Ltd. (Lvye Chemical), was established in 2005. The company, located in Funing Chemical Park, Yancheng, Jiangsu province, is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sales of daily-use chemicals, agrochemicals and their intermediates, mainly including climbazole, propyzamide and thiazole etc. These products are in great demand in Europe and the Southeast Asia.
    Lvye Chemical launched the commercial production of climbazole project in 1999, and after years of technical innovation, the company's production process of climbazole has become mature and was evaluated by authorities to be the top advanced process compared with that in other climbazole manufactures in China.
    Construction on the 300 t/a chloropinacoline and 300 t/a tebuconazole projects by Luye Agrochemicals was completed in 2007. These two projects, with a total investment of RMB60 million, were got the government approval in December 2005 and May 2007 respectively.
    "Compared with multinational corporations that have already mastered core technique for agrochemicals production, Luye Agrochemicals is a small enterprise with less competitiveness," said Zhou Wengong, the board chairman of Lvye Chemical, "But Luye Agrochemicals is devoting major effort to developing products that is in short supply in both domestic and overseas markets. Luye Agrochemicals aims to make the world well know the company and earn more and more market shares in the future."
    Lvye Chemical has another subsidiary engaged in pesticide production - Jiangsu Lufeng Biology Medicine Industry Co., Ltd which is also located in Funing Chemical Park. Lufeng Biology Medicine says it is one of top four validamycin manufactures in scale in China, with a capacity of 15 000 t/a validamycin, 40 t/a gibberellin and 3 000 t/a blended pesticide. As reported, the company produced totally 19 430 t/a pesticides in 2006.
