CPI Plunged 1.5%   

The National Bureau of Statistics reported on May 11th that the consumer prices index (CPI) dropped 1.5% year on year in April, in which the prices of drugs and healthcare products went up by 0.9%. CPI for the first four months declined 0.8%.   
    In April the producers prices index (PPI) plummeted 6.6% year over year and the purchasing prices of raw materials, fuels and power fell 9.6%. PPI accumulated a drop of 5.1% for the period of January to April, and the purchasing prices of raw materials, fuels and power clamped down 7.7%.
