Jiemei Fengyou Launches fertilizer Project in Ningxia      

Recently, Ningxia Jiemei Fengyou Chemical Co., Ltd. (Jiemei Fengyou) has started the construction on its first-phase project, which will produce 400 000 t/a of synthetic ammonia, 700 000 t/a of urea and 200 000 t/a of methanol with coal as raw materials, in Ningdong base, Ningxia province. The project has a total investment of RMB4.172 billion and is scheduled to start operation at the end of September 2011. Upon completion, it will add RMB1.939 billion of sales income for the company per year.
   Jiemei Fengyou is one of the fifteen subsidiaries of Sichuan Chemical Industry Holding (Group) Co., Ltd., which is located in Chengdu, Sichuan province. Later, Jiemei Fengyou will continue to build a set of synthetic ammonia units (450 000 t/a) and a set of urea units (800 000 t/a) with coal as raw materials. The total investment for these three projects will reach RMB13 billion, and once completed, they will add RMB6.378 billion of sales income for the company per year.
