Jiangxi Soda Kicks off Soda Ash Project        

On April 29th, Jiangxi Soda Industry Co., Ltd. held a ground breaking ceremony for the first phase of the 1.2 million t/a soda ash (in Hou's process) project in Xingan county, JiAn of Jiangxi province.
   As reported, the construction of this project is divided into two phases. In the first phase, the company will invest RMB2.056 billion to construct 600 000 t/a of soda ash, 600 000 t/a of ammonium chloride, 800 000 t/a of industrial salts, 30 000 t/a of mirabilite, 40 000 t/a of methanol and 8.0 million cubic meters per year of methane. At present, the first phase construction has been fully launched, and is expected to be completed in October 2010. After full operation, the first-phase project will add an output value of RMB1.56 billion.
