Qijia Develops New Technique to Produce Compound Fertilizer

In March 2009, Jiangxi Qijia Fertilizer Co. Ltd. (Qijia) announced that it successfully produced high concentration organic-inorganic compound fertilizer through a new technique which can be used to make slow/controlled release compound fertilizers that are economical and eco-friendly.
Unlike conventional techniques, in which urea goes through the steps of corning, drying and cooling, in the new process technique, urea is first equipped with special "controlled and slow release" units and finally becomes slow release organic-inorganic compounds. This internationally advanced technique was discovered by Sun Cheng, an academician of the World Academy of Productivity Science.
Compared with conventional production processes, it can improve productivity by 30% to 45%, reduce energy consumption by 5% to 10%, and cut production costs by 10% to 20%.
