Huasheng Starts up Caustic Soda Project       

Shanghai Tian Yuan Huangsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. (Huasheng), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical Co., Ltd. (SH: 600618), started up its second phase 150 000 t/a caustic soda project recently.
   The second phase has a total investment of RMB560 million and was first scheduled to come on stream at the end of 2008.
   The project is running well now and will provide liquid chlorine for the production of the nearby downstream enterprises.
