Jiangsu Produces Organic Fertilizer from Straw

Recently, after two years of joint research by the Dai Zhuang Organic Agriculture Cooperative, the Jurong government of Jiangsu province and Nanjing Forestry University, a project to produce bio-vinegar and organic fertilizer by using straw and raw husk has been officially put into operation.
In this newly-developed process, straw or raw husk is crushed and dried, and then heated to 700 degrees centigrade to 800 degrees centigrade in the absence of air. After that, the gas formed is cooled, becoming a dry distillate at first, and ultimately a vinegar fluid after separation. The vinegar fluid, although uneatable, can serve as a good pest control agent in organic agricultural production while the residue can become good fertilizer.
