Xingtai Mining Launches Two Projects       

On April 16th, Xingtai Mining (Group) Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Jizhong Energy Group Co., Ltd., laid a foundation for the construction of its 60 000 t/a potassium hydroxide project and 40 000 t/a trichlorosilane project in Ren county, Xingtai, Hebei province.
   The RMB600 million project will be constructed in two phases and each will have a capacity of 30 000 t/a potassium hydroxide and 20 000 t/a trichlorosilane.
   Potassium hydroxide is widely used in chemical industry, textile industry and pharmaceuticals industry. A manager of the company said potassium hydroxide has a bright market prospect because the demand in domestic and international market has been increasing in recent years.
  Potassium hydroxide and richlorosilane are raw materials for polysilicon production in photovoltaic industry.
