New Grain Program Brings Hopes to Agrochemicals Makers

On April 8th China's State Council nodded a program to increase the grain production capacity by 50 million tons per year through 2009-2002. The news brings new hope to the fertilizer and pesticide producers.
In the program, main effort will focus on increasing the grain production capacity while remaining the current planting land area unchanged. High potency, environmentally friendly chemical fertilizers and pesticides will be the important support for the program.
The current production capacity of nitrogen fertilizers and pesticides are over the demand and big enough on quantity to support this program, even by 2020, according to China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association.
