Degao Magnesium Postpones Operation     

Hubei Degao Magnesium Co., Ltd. (Degao Magnesium) has postponed the startup schedule of its 15 000 t/a magnesium oxide project, which was planned in this May. The company attributed the delay to that construction on infrastructures in the development zone the project located does not go on smoothly, the land are not ready for commercial use, disclosed Li Jiasheng, a manager of Degao Magnesium.
   The RMB2.4 billion project, which passed the environmental impact assessment in 2007, was launched on October 8th, 2008 in Qichun, Hubei province. (CCR2008 No.31) New startup timesheet for this project is still uncertain. The office and dormitory buildings have been roof-sealed and infrastructure construction of workshops has been completed at the end of March, said Li. The company has also completed the purchase of large scale equipment.
  Degao Magnesium mainly engages in the business of magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, superfine magnesium-containing calcium carbonate and dolomite powder.
