China Coal Group to Build Coal Chemical Plant in Xinjiang     

China National Coal Group Corporation (China Coal Group) entered into an agreement with Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Government to jointly develop coal resources in the region on March 28th.
   Under the agreement, China Coal Group plans to invest roughly RMB100 billion in the next five years for coal mining, coal power plant and coal chemical plant in Xinjiang region's Tuha, Zhundong and Yili areas.
   Xinjiang region is abundant in coal resources. The regional government has set a development strategy of coal resources transformation to speed up its development through balances on strong experiences of energy leading group in China and the world, focusing on coal to oil, coal to gas, coal to olefins, coal to fertilizers and coal power plant.
   China Coal Group is committed to coal production, coal chemical projects, power plant, machinery and coal mine in future, with a target of coal production base in Tuha area, coal power plant and coal chemical base in Zhundong area and Yili area.
