Demonstrative Advanced Materials Projects Approved    

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top planner, approved the following high-tech industrialization special projects this March.
   The 500 t/a high-strength and high-modulus polyethylene (PE) / carbon nano-tubes compound fiber project, by Hangzhou Southeast Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
   The high-strength and high-modulus PE fiber compound plant, proposed by Hunan Zhongtai Special Equipment Co., Ltd. in Linli Economic Development Zone, Hunan province.
   The super high strength PE fiber project, by Sinotex Investment & Development Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shanghai.
   The super high strength PE fiber and compound materials facility, proposed by Ningbo Dacheng Advanced Material Co., Ltd. in Cixi, Zhejiang province.
   The 5 000 t/a polyacrylonitrile based carbon fiber precursors project, applied by Jilin Qifeng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. in Jilin High - tech Zone, Jilin province.
   The 1 000 t/a 5-hydroxymethylfurfural plant, applied by Huaibei Minsheng Chemical Sci-tech Co., Ltd. in Huaibei, Anhui province.
   The furfural plant with biomass hydrolysate process, proposed by Henan Hongye Chemical Co., Ltd. in Puyang, Henan province.
   The non-grain fermentation for bio-butanol project, applied by North China Pharmaceutical Group Corporation Ltd. in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province.
   The 60 t/a 5-amino levulinic acid plant, proposed by Suzhou Yian Biotech Co., Ltd. in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
   The 60 000 t/a butanol/acetone plant, launched by Jiangsu Golden Maoyuan Biochemical Co., Ltd.
   The 10 000 t/a biomass based ethylene project, applied by Sinopec Sichuan Vinylon Works in Changshou, Chongqing.
   The 3 000 t/a polyaminoacid advanced materials project, proposed by Shandong Wonderful Industrial Group Co., Ltd.
   The 2 000 t/a polyglutamic acid project, launched by Shandong Fufeng Fermenation Co., Ltd.
   The biodegradable starch based resin for film project, proposed by Guangdong Shangjiu Biodegradable Plastics Co., Ltd. in Dongguan, Guangdong province.
   The 10 000 t/a biomass biodegradable materials project, initiated by Zhejiang Wafa Ecosystem Science & Technology Co.
   The 10 000 t/a polyhydroxybutyrate-co-valerate (PHBV) project, proposed by Ningbo Tianan Biologic Material Co., Ltd. in Zhejiang province.
   The 10 000 t/a polylactic acid (PLA) and compound materials project, proposed by Yunnan Fuji Bio-materials Co., Ltd.
   The 20 000 t/a PLA plant, applied by Jiangsu Jiuding Group Co., Ltd. in Rugao, Jiangsu province.
　 The government will give financial supports to these projects.
