ChemChina to Build Tire Base in Guilin      

On March 15th, China Chemical Rubber Corporation, a fully owned subsidiary of China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina), signed a cooperative agreement with Guangxi Guilin Municipal Government to build a tire production base in Guilin, Guangxi autonomous region.
   The plant, which is selected to locate at Suqiao Economic Development Zone, Guilin, plans to produce 100 000 pcs of off-the-road radial tires per year, 1 million pcs of all-steel heavy truck radial tires per year and 5 million pcs of semi-steel passenger car radial tires per year.
   Guilin government has put the automobile industry as its focus as there are four automobile makers in Guilin.
    Haohua South (Guilin) Rubber Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of ChemChina, also located in Guilin, has renamed as China Chemical Rubber Guilin Co., Ltd. since January 2009. The Chinese leading tire maker engages in R & D, production and sales of a range of tires including off-the-road tires, aviation tires, all-steel radial tires, retreaded tires and rubber products to serve airplanes, machinery, automobiles and special vehicles sectors.
    ChemChina is aiming at strengthening its rubber and tire businesses by the existing China Chemical Rubber Guilin to meet the growing demand for tires in the Chinese market.
