Shanghai Starts Trial Insurance of Environmental Responsibility    

An official of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Shanghai government recently disclosed that the insurance of environmental responsibility will be conducted in Shanghai region, key targets including the enterprises those are located in chemical zones, engage in the production, storage and transportation of dangerous chemicals, use radiation substances and those are under supervision due to possibly discharging pollutants. Once get the experiences, the insurance regulation will be promoted in the whole Shanghai region.  
   Presently several Shanghai based chemical companies have bought the environmental responsibility insurance. The officer commented many problems leave for solving before promoting in a wide range. There is no regulation to force chemical companies to buy such insurance.
