Ciba Establishes Technology Technical Service Laboratory in China      

On March 13th, Ciba announced an opening of a new Technical Service Center in Shanghai to serve the process and lubricants additives industry in China.
   The new center is fully equipped to perform key tests required for lubricant customers, including thermo-oxidative, wear and corrosion tests. The center is also equipped to perform a full range of testing to support Ciba's market entry of its pour point depressants and viscosity modifier product lines.
   The Shanghai laboratory will allow it to more quickly meet the needs of customers based in China and serve its traditional component and industrial lubricant packages businesses. In addition, it will greatly support a rapid market build up for the pour point depressants and viscosity modifier product lines Ciba will be offering in that region.
