SAWS Warns Management of Air Chemicals

To guarantee the safe run of on-spot gas supply, China's State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) promulgated on February 1st the safety regulations concerning to air chemicals.
In recent years, more and more air separation producers have built production or storage facilities in the site of users - steel, petrochemical, coal chemical enterprises, to manufacture air chemicals or store liquid and compressed air chemicals on spot, called on-spot gas supply. Under such mode, the chemicals can reach user in a short way and such facilities in general operate automatically without any operational worker.
SAWS requires in the regulations both suppliers and users of on-spot gas supply to abide by the related regulations on dangerous chemicals production. The construction and production of such facilities shall be managed in line with the regulations of dangerous chemicals.  Spot gas supply users must report to the local work safety administrative departments the necessary backup documents and information. Suppliers are ordered to be responsible for the safe run of on-spot gas supply facilities.
