Vinyl Acetate Producers Are Required to Cancel Potential Risk

Because Guangxi Vinylon Group Company Limited suffered an explosion on August 26th at its vinyl acetate workshop (CCR 2008 No.25), the Work Safety Committee (WSC) under the State Council of China announced on September 5th, 2008 to start a strict check on all chemical makers. Twelve domestic vinyl acetate producers have checked their production facilities and totally reported more than 450 problems to the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS).
On January 4th SAWS required the concerned provincial or municipality's work safety administrative departments to supervise and help the 12 vinyl acetate producers to check the potential risks and solve the problems in order to prevent similar accident.
