Luo Lin Appointed to Head of SAWS    

On December 30th, 2008 Luo Lin was appointed to the Head of the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) of China, replacing Wang Jun who was just assigned this position on March 21st, 2008. The predecessor of Wang Jun is Li Yizhong, the minister of Industry and Information Technology and the former president of Sinopec Group.
   Luo Lin, aged 53, was vice governor of Liaoning province.
   Accidents happened more frequently than before, which is causing the high attention of China's central government.
