Wanhua Industrial to Relocate MDI Plant     

Wanhua Industrial Group Co., Ltd. prepares for relocating its existing MDI (diphenylmethane diisocyanate) facility, following the environmental impact assessment nodded by the Ministry of Environment and Protection on December 18th, 2008.
   The MDI plant is designed to relocate at the western port of Yantai Economic and Technology Development Zone, Shandong province. Under the new plan, the company will in the new site construct a 600 thousand t/a MDI facility, 300 thousand t/a TDI (toluene diisocyanate) facility, 800 thousand t/a aromatics extraction unit, 300 thousand t/a caustic soda unit, and 480 thousand t/a hydrogen chloride unit for chlorine and aniline etc as well as matching facilities.  
   Wanhua Industrial is the controlling shareholder of Yantai Wanhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd., a listing company on Shanghai Stock Exchange with a stock code of 600309.
