MEP Rewards Technical Inventions on Environmental Protection   

Around thirty environmental protection technical innovation projects that were completed in 2008 were recently elected by the judging commission of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (MEP). MEP has collected public opposition or objection in December regarding to these innovations.
   Such innovations include the technology of recovering black liquid soda from paper making slurry to manufacture calcium carbonate as fillers for paper, completed by Yueyang Paper Co., Ltd. (SH: 600963); the method of making degradable black liquid farming film from low quality coal, innovated by Shandong University of Science and Technology; the new process of eliminating ink from waste paper by lipase, completed by Shenzhen Leveking Bio-engineering Co., Ltd.; the innovative technology of making feeds additives alkali copper chloride from the waste water of etching industry, completed by Shenzhen Hazardous Waste Treatment Station Co., Ltd. and the research of transforming the waste liquid in oilfields into clean fertilizers, conducted by CNPC.
