AVGOL to Build New PP Nonwoven Fabrics Plant in Jingmen     

AVGOL Industries, a global leading manufacturer and supplier of nonwoven fabrics, announces it plans to invest RMB280 million for building a new polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabrics plant at the Jingmen, Hubei province.
   The proposed plant is designed to produce 15 thousand tons of PP nonwoven fabrics per year and is scheduled for startup in July 2009.
   AVGOL has formed a joint venture - Hubei Gold Dragon Nonwoven Fabrics Co., Ltd. with Hubei Gold Dragon Investment Co., Ltd. The joint venture plant began operating in 2005 at the Jingmen site, for the manufacture of high-quality spunbonded fabrics to meet the demand in China and throughout northeastern and southeastern Asia, with a capacity of 8 500 t/a. The Hubei Gold Dragon Nonwoven Fabrics is currently leading PP nonwoven fabrics producer in China.
