MEP Collects Suggestions on Effluent Standard for Organophosphorus Pesticide Production    

As of December 15th, the one-month suggestion-collecting action on proposed Effluent Standard of Water Based Pollutants from Organo-phosphorus Pesticide Industry was ended. The action was hosted by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, aiming to reduce the pollution from the right pesticide sector. China's first standard particularly on water-based pollutants discharge of the pesticide industry - "Effluent Standards for Pollutants from Heterocyclic Pesticide Industry" was announced on April 2nd, 2008 and took effective July 1st, 2008.     This proposed standard has been completed in April 2005 and thereafter was gone to public for collecting suggestion. The compiling organization, after employing public suggestions, has modified and completed the standard in the past three years.
   The organizations that are required to give judgment and suggestions on this standard include 14 administrative departments and environmental protection research organizations and 18 domestic leading pesticides producing companies, such as Hubei Sanonda, Zhejiang Xinan Chemical Industry, Fujian Sannong Group, Redsun Group and Anhui Huaxing Chemical.
