January FDI Doubles    

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China was US$11.2 billion in January, a year-on-year increase of 109.78%. The Ministry of Commerce released on February 18th.
   China approved 2 918 foreign-invested companies in January, down 13.41%.
   China practices one corporate income tax on foreign investors and domestic enterprises, effective 2008. FDI in January has not been affected by the policy.
