MOEP Issued Two Recommended Technology Directories

In accordance with the State Council's policies of strengthening environmental protection, energy conservation and pollutants reduction, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (MOEP) recently compiled the Demonstration Directory of China's Advanced Pollution Prevention and Treatment Technologies and the Directory of Environmental Protection Technologies Encouraged by the Government in order to guideline the development of environmental protection and accelerate the commercial demonstration and promotion of energy conservation and pollutants reduction technologies.
All 35 technologies covered in the Demonstration Directory of China's Advanced Pollution Prevention and Treatment Technologies are innovative in technical method, advanced in technical indexes and necessary for China, and can basically be used in commercial production. The covered technologies closely related to the chemical industry includes the technology of using flue gas to directly concentrate and burn waste liquids from alcohol production; the technology for using high potency stem to deal with hard-to-decompose waste water from coking and coal chemical production; the utilization of tail gas from phosphorus manufacture; the energy conservation and environmental friendly dyeing process in protein fiber slurry suspended substance; the clean dyeing process for polyester fabrics, free of auxiliary and water cleaning; the new process of extracting citric acid by the method of chromatogram; the dry process for manufacturing acetylene; the process for manufacturing building materials and sulfuric acid from phosphorus gypsum, etc.
The second directory lists 103 items of mature technologies that have been identified through engineering experiences and are encouraged by the government. Typical examples are as follows: the sewage treatment technology using film biological reactor; the technology of treating waste water from alcohol production; the reuse of di-ethylene glycol through concentration and so on.
