China Conducts Intermediate Reevaluation on Catechol Case   

On July 29th, 2008 the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced an antidumping intermediate reevaluation on catechol (or 0-dihydroxybenzene and pyrocatechol) (HS code: 29072910) originated from the United States. The duration of the reevaluation investigation is from April 1st, 2007 to March 31st, 2008.
   On May 22nd, 2006 MOC started to impose the antidumping tax on catechol originated from Japan and the United States for five years. The antidumping tax rate for American companies was ranging 4%-46.81%. (CCR2006 No. 16)
   On June 23rd, 2008 Lianyungang Sanjili Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. submitted an intermediate reevaluation application to MOC for the case.
