Stricter Administration on Foreign-Funded Projects      

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced on July 8th that China will strictly implement a system for examination and approval of foreign-funded projects to further strengthen the administration of foreign-funded projects and avoid the abnormal inflow of foreign capital. Local competent departments should conduct the stricter examination and approval of foreign-funded projects in terms of economic security, rational development and utilization of resources, protection of ecological environment, distribution of major projects, prevention of monopoly, entry admission of investments and administration of capital projects.
   Relevant department should strengthen examinations to the trueness of foreign-funded projects to avoid the inflow of foreign capital without real investments.
   China will establish the system on administration of foreign-funded projects. For new projects, China will practice standard administration to strictly restrict projects with environmental pollution, high energy consumption, high material consumption and high resource consumption. For the projects approved, China will strengthen supervisions and examinations.
