Nanjing Chemical and Jincheng Anthracite Mining Sign Cooperation Agreement     

Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. (Nanjing Chemical) and Shanxi Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group (Jincheng Anthracite Mining) signed a cooperation agreement in Nanjing in early July. Nanjing Chemical will provide technical supports to Jincheng Anthracite Mining.
    In recent years, Jincheng Anthracite Mining has employed the advantage in high-quality anthracite resources and made a vigorous expedition to the coal chemical sector. It already owns 17 chemical subsidiaries in Shanxi, Shandong and Henan provinces. The profit from the coal chemical business accounted for 70% of the total profit in 2007. It is expected that by the end of 2010 the company will form a capacity of 7.0 million t/a total nitrogen, 6.0 million t/a urea and 100 000 t/a synthetic oil and become a coal chemical group with the competitiveness.
    Nanjing Chemical is a leading chemical enterprise in China. It owns nearly 100 patent technologies in coal chemical, benzene chemical, salt chemical and rubber assistant sectors. Through the cooperation, Jincheng Anthracite Mining can get technical supports from Nanjing Chemical in the research and development of coal chemicals, technical innovation and personnel training.
