Sinopec's Hainan Refinery Operates Commercially      

The 8 million t/a refinery in Sinopec Hainan Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. passed a state-class evaluation and examination on July 1st, showing that the complex will operate commercially.
    Sinopec Hainan Refining & Chemical started construction of the integrated facility in September 2004, conducted wet commissioning on the 1.2 million hydrocracking unit in September 2006. (CCR2006 No. 29)
    Sinopec Hainan Refining & Chemical processed approximately 4 million tons of crude oil in the first half of 2008 and produced 3.73 million tons of oil products with a high added value. The integrated complex will produce 5 million tons of Euro III oil products and 1.2 million tons of Euro IV oil products per year to serve the Pearl River Delta and southwestern China markets.
