USA Makes Final Ruling on Sodium Nitrite     

On July 1st, 2008 the Department of Commerce of the United States made an antidumping and anti-subsidy final ruling on sodium nitrite (HS code: 28341010) originated from China and Germany. On August 14th, 2008 the International Trade Council of the United States will make a final ruling on industrial injuries caused by sodium nitrite originated from China and Germany. The result of the final ruling will determine whether the United States will impose an antidumping and anti-subsidy tax on sodium nitrite originated from China and Germany.

   On November 30th, 2007 the United States launched an antidumping and anti-subsidy investigation into sodium nitrite originated from China and Germany. On April 17th, 2008 the United Stats made an affirmative preliminary ruling on the case. (CCR2007, No. 35, CCR2008, No. 13)
