Beijing Yanhua Highlights Sewage Purification Capacity

Sinopec Beijing Yanhua Petrochemical Company will conduct renovation and expansion to its facility that can turn sewage into "purified drinkable water". The renovation will be completed in June 2009. The capacity of turning sewage into purified drinkable water in the company will be increased from 600 t/h today to 1 100 t/d after renovation.
According to executives from the company, it is the first facility in China to use the ultra-filtration and reverse osmosis double membrane process in the intensive treatment of chemical sewage. It can effectively remove more than a dozen media in chemical sewage such as sulfur, sulfides, benzene, phenol, suspension oils and phosphorus. The desalinated water generated through this process has quality indexes superior to purified water for drinking and can be used as make-up water for boilers and circulating water systems in chemical units.
