BASF Appoints New Head for BASF Construction Chemicals Asia Pacific   

Effective July 1st, 2008 Mark Volmer will become the head of BASF Construction Chemicals Asia Pacific Business Unit that is based in Shanghai.
    In this position, Volmer will assume the responsibility for setting the regional direction to further expand the business. The region is expected to be a key contributor to the sustainable growth in the global BASF's Construction Chemicals business.
    The regional business unit Construction Chemicals Asia Pacific serves various markets across Japan, Greater China, Pacific (Australia / New Zealand), South Asia, ASEAN, and Korea. BASF has more than 50 production sites and approximately 1 500 employees in the region. As a customized solution provider, BASF supplies a full range of construction chemicals from admixture systems for concrete, and cement additives and performance flooring products, building systems to its customers in the construction industry.
